Gamers Mail ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at gamersmail.com and the email service offered on it. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

We only collect what the service needs to function:

• Account data: your chosen username, your @gamersmail.com address, your display name, and a bcrypt hash of your password. We never store your password in plain text and we cannot read it.
• Email content: the messages in your mailbox, including sender, recipients, subject, body and attachments. This is stored so we can display it back to you.
• Account preferences: signature, labels, filters, templates, theme choice and similar settings you configure.
• Usage and security data: sign-in timestamps, IP address and browser user agent, recorded so we can detect account takeover and abuse.
• Billing data: if you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment provider processes the payment. We receive a transaction reference and subscription status, not your full card number.
• Support correspondence: anything you send us through the contact form or by email.

Our public tools (password generator, 2FA code generator, UUID generator, username generator and email checker) run entirely in your browser. Values you enter there are never transmitted to our servers and are not logged.

• To create and operate your account, and to send and receive your email.
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• To provide customer support when you ask for it.
• To detect, investigate and prevent spam, fraud and abuse of the service.
• To process payments and manage your subscription.
• To understand aggregate usage so we can improve the product.
• To comply with legal obligations.

Where the GDPR applies, our legal bases are performance of a contract (running your mailbox), legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, product improvement), consent (non-essential cookies and personalised advertising), and legal obligation.

Gamers Mail may display advertising on public pages such as this website, the blog and our tools. Advertising is not injected into the content of your private mailbox by third parties, and we do not sell your email content or your personal data to anyone.

We may use the following categories of third-party service:

• Advertising partners, including Google AdSense, which may set cookies to serve and measure ads. See Google's How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.
• Analytics: we measure aggregate traffic to public pages so we know which content is useful. We do not use analytics inside your mailbox.
• Payment processors, used to take subscription payments securely.
• Infrastructure providers: hosting, database and email delivery services that process data on our instructions.

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to protect against cross-site request forgery. These cannot be switched off without breaking the service.

Non-essential cookies, used for advertising and aggregate analytics - are only set on public pages and only where permitted. You can control them through the cookie banner and through your browser settings. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.

• Mailbox contents: for as long as your account exists, and deleted when you delete them or close your account.
• Messages you delete: moved to Trash and removed permanently when you empty it or when your account is closed.
• Account and security logs: retained for a limited period for fraud prevention and legal compliance.
• Billing records: retained as long as tax and accounting law requires.

We protect your data with encryption in transit (TLS), hashed passwords using bcrypt, access controls on our systems, and rate limiting on authentication. No online service can promise perfect security, so please use a strong, unique password and enable two-factor authentication on the gaming accounts that use this address.

Subject to your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time.

You can exercise most of these directly in Settings: update your profile, change your password, delete messages, or close your account. For anything else, email privacy@gamersmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

If you are in the EU or UK you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know and the right to delete; we do not sell personal information as that term is defined by the CCPA.

Gamers Mail is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

We may process data in countries other than yours. Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

We may update this policy as the service changes. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new "last updated" date, and where required we will notify you by email.
